Mr. Mohammad Anisur Rahman joined this district as the District and Sessions Judge on 05 November 2025. He joined the Bangladesh Judicial Service through the 24th BCS. He was promoted to the post of District and Sessions Judge on 06 April 2023 and subsequently served as a Judge of the Nari And Sishu Nirjaton Doman Tribunal in Mymensingh District. Prior to that, he efficiently discharged judicial responsibilities in different districts of the country. Before joining this district, he was serving at the Taxes Appellate Tribunal, Dhaka, in the rank of District and Sessions Judge.
He obtained his LL.B. (Honours) and LL.M. degrees in Law with First Class from the University of Rajshahi and also earned a Master’s degree from the University of York, United Kingdom. He is a Chevening Scholar. His home district is Dhaka.
With a view to enhancing his professional competence and enriching his judicial knowledge, he has participated in various training programmes both at home and abroad. Among them, the training programmes held in India and Australia are particularly noteworthy.
